War Story:
As former Div.Radio Officer for the 101st Airborne Div and a friend of Col.Edward B. Vogel, I was monitoring his freq at the time that he was shot down. As I rember it another chopper in his ARA Bn had taken hits and had gone down. Col Vogel directed his chopper to go in for support and/or rescue and was shot down.
